Regional Aviation REGIONAL AVIATION - GROUP ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY 2007

The Regional Aviation Group is committed to environmental responsibility through the adoption of minimal disturbance, zero harm initiatives, based on our belief that actions taken now will have long term financial, social and environmental benefits.

This policy provides the focus for achieving best practice, through an approach that establishes environmental objectives, procedures, action plans and evaluation, and establishes a process that integrates environmental responsibility into all aspects of the Regional Aviation Group’s activities.

In pursuit of our environmental policy the Regional Aviation Group will:

  • Promote environmental awareness and responsibility among all members of the Regional Aviation Group
  • Promote the principles and practices of environmental responsibility by sharing knowledge and experience with our stakeholders and business partners;
  • Strive for environmental best practice;
  • Identify and monitor and report on our community, legal and ethical environmental obligations;
  • Recognise our obligations, both locally and globally, to present and succeeding generations;
  • Develop a balanced approach designed to meet the needs of our organisation, while allowing us to fulfil our environmental obligations.

Integral to the implementation of this policy, our Environmental Management Plan (EMP) is to define the organisational management of matters of environmental concern and interest, mindful of the principles of Ecologically Sustainable Development (ESD).

Compliance with regulatory responsibilities, through an ongoing commitment to improvement in operational practices and well developed procedures, establishes a framework that will support the efforts of the Regional Aviation Group in responsibly managing our environmental footprint.
